Measuring and planning your bridge.

1.    First measure the amount of space available for the bridge with the abutments included.

2.    Determine the height of the track from the rough grade to the planned height of the track to the top of the rail.

3.    Find the amount of Clear span needed to cross over any obstructions with out contacting the ground. From abutment to abutment or abutment to pier or other support.

4.    Is the track on a curve or is it strait or just a Segment of curve? If a curve or segment is present please list radius to the center of the track in inches.

5.    Measure the clearance need for any objects under the bridge to clear other tracks or obstructions.

6.    What types of track do like to use. Include code of rail used. (225,250,312)

7.    Do you like a detailed deck or just a track support?

8.    Paint colors choices are black, gray, silver, or no paint.

9.    Wood decks are available with hand laid rail or your favorite track. Hand laid track includes tie plates and spikes. Guardrails can be added to any track.

10.   Are end abutments needed? Are the ends parallel?
